What is the HOME Consortium?
Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) is a federal grant program through Housing and Urban Development (HUD) providing grant funds on a reimbursable basis to provide decent affordable housing to low-income households, expand the capacity of non-profit housing providers, strengthen the ability of state and local governments to provide housing, and leverage private-sector participation.
The Isothermal Housing Task Force and the IPDC Board of Directors have identified the HUD HOME Program as a priority for the region and the organization.
By forming a regional HOME Consortium, IPDC member governments can obtain funding from HUD to apply towards affordable housing options in Cleveland, McDowell, Polk, and Rutherford Counties.
